Easter Walk was started in 1997 by local community member Rick White as a charity walk for St. Mary’s CARE Center (formally the Long Beach C.A.R.E. Program). A small group of girls, dressed in their Sunday best, traversed the Broadway bars of Long Beach. Making numerous stops along the way, grabbing numerous shots along the way and of course raising thousands of dollars along the way. Hundreds of volunteer hours are put in to organize and produce the walk each year. Several years ago the walk administration was carried on by Long Beach Drag Diva Jewels, taking over for founder Rick White aka Sheeya Mann, when she moved away from the city.
This committed team of people, as well as their reputation for an annual fun filled Sunday afternoon all in the name of charity, have continued to grow each year! Join the fun this Year! See you on the WALK!
